The original way to nourish your body
For generations, organ meats were a cornerstone of nourishment.
Today, Nära Jorden brings them back in a simple blend of liver, heart, and kidney — nutrient-rich, easy to use, and crafted in small batches from Uppland farms.
✔ Vitamin A and Vitamin B12 contribute to the normal function of the immune system.
✔ Vitamin B12 contributes to normal energy-yielding metabolism and to the reduction of tiredness and fatigue.
✔ Vitamin B12 contributes to normal red blood cell formation.
✔ Vitamin A contributes to the maintenance of normal vision and normal iron metabolism.
Rooted in the land. Guided by tradition.
Why Eat Organ Meats?
Organ meats are among nature’s most nutrient-dense foods — naturally rich in vitamins and minerals in their original, food-based form.
In whole foods like these, nutrients occur together with natural co-factors and enzymes — just as they do in nature — which means they appear in forms the body recognises from real food.
For generations, they were a cornerstone of nourishment, but in modern diets they’ve been largely forgotten.
We grew up hearing stories from our parents and grandparents of how organ meats once had a natural place in the kitchen — stews, pies, sausages, blended into everyday meals. In Sweden, the average person ate around 3 kg of organ meats in 1960; today, it’s less than 0.5 kg.*
We wanted to change that by making them easier to enjoy — crafting a powdered blend of liver, heart, and kidney that’s local, real, and simple to add to the meals you already love. A small step toward bringing traditional nourishment back into daily life.

Three Organs,
One Ancestral Blend
Our blend is crafted from carefully selected organs — chosen for their rich nutritional composition and their deep ancestral significance. Each organ offers its own unique nutrient profile; together, they complement one another to provide broad, natural nourishment.

Beef Liver
Beef liver is nature’s power bank — rich in vitamin A, iron, B12, folate, and choline. These nutrients contribute to normal vision, red blood cell formation, immune function, and the reduction of tiredness and fatigue. Choline contributes to normal liver function and normal lipid metabolism.
Ancestral cultures prized liver first — a deep store of nourishment where the cow transforms grass, soil, and sunlight into food.

Beef Heart
Beef heart is steady and strong- naturally rich in zinc, B vitamins, and also contains CoQ10, a compound that helps produce energy in the cells. Zinc contributes to the normal function of the immune system and to normal fertility and reproduction, while B12 and other B vitamins support energy metabolism and reduce tiredness and fatigue. In traditional diets, the heart was respected as a food of vitality- a dense source of quiet, enduring strength.

Beef Kidney
Beef kidney is small but mighty — packed with selenium, vitamin B6, B12, iron, and vitamin A. These nutrients help protect cells from oxidative stress, support normal immune function, help regulate hormonal activity and energy-yielding metabolism. Kidney is also a natural source of essential minerals that reduce tiredness and fatigue.
In traditional diets, kidneys were the quiet heroes — small, powerful, and essential for renewal and balance.

"As a Nutritional therapist I try many supplements, however Nära Jorden's Ancestral Organ Blend truly stands. I appreciate that quality and philosophy behind the product. Organ meats provide bioavailable nutrietns that are difficult to get elsewhere. This blend delivers the nutrients in a natural and bioavalable way that is also easy on your digestion.
Ancestral Organ Blend has now become part of our routine in our home! I sprinkle it over stiry fry, over my morning scrambled eggs, sometimes mix it into my coffee, hide it in pancakes and stir it over the mince."

The Story Behind Nära Jorden
Hi and welcome to Nära Jorden.
Our story begins on a small farm in the Swedish countryside, where friends met and shared a simple wish: How can we live, eat, and work in ways that nourish our families, strengthen our communities, and care for the earth, now and for generations ahead?
As we talked, cooked, and learned from local farmers, we began to see a deeper need. So much of what nourished previous generations has quietly disappeared from modern diets. Vital nutrients once found in whole, traditional foods, especially organ meats, are now missing, leaving gaps in the way we feed ourselves.
So we rolled up our sleeves, trusted our guts (and our taste buds), befriended local farmers, and started crafting the kind of product we wished we could find: organ meats that are ethical, local, and incredibly nutrient-dense, without being intimidating.
Nära Jorden was born from that wish to close the nutrient gaps in modern diets and make real nourishment accessible and simple.
For us, this isn’t just a business. It’s a way of living our values: simplicity, gratitude, connection, and joy.
If what we create helps others feel nourished and reminds us all of what truly matters, then we’re already succeeding.
